How we audit

What every number on AlphaClone means, where it comes from, and what it can't tell you.

Official data, served 1:1

AlphaClone is an interface over each venue's OWN official data. A wallet's PnL curve is the exact series the platform itself publishes — Polymarket's user-pnl API and Hyperliquid's allTime portfolio history — rendered verbatim, never rebuilt from the trade tape.

We do this on purpose: reconstructing PnL from raw fills produces artifacts (a merge misread as a liquidation, a truncated history), so we only fall back to reconstruction as an explicitly-labelled degraded mode. A browser User-Agent is used for the official endpoints; nothing is scraped that the platform doesn't already show on the wallet's own profile.

The metrics

We audit for real, with the cadence and drawdown the wallet actually experienced — not annualized fantasy figures:

  • Sharpe / Sortino computed on the wallet's real trade cadence, with a small-sample shrink so a handful of lucky trades can't fake a high ratio.
  • Max drawdown measured over the official PnL series (peak-to-trough), so it reflects the worst loss a follower would have sat through.
  • A skeleton / edge check that separates genuine edge from reward-farming, one-bet luck and dormant accounts.

Copyability (★1–5)

A high return is useless if you can't actually mirror it. The copyability score rates how followable a wallet is at small size — how fast it trades, how concentrated it is, and whether its entries survive being copied with $1k. A five-star profit farmer that trades faster than you can follow scores low on purpose.

Execution, capped and honest

Copying is non-custodial: your wallet keeps custody and the signer can never withdraw. Every mirrored order passes a per-order cap and safety gates before it is placed, and the portfolio simulator warns you when a scaled entry would exceed that cap — so the size we show is the size that would actually be placed, never an inflated promise.

What this can't tell you

Every metric is backward-looking. It describes what a wallet did, not what it will do. Datasets refresh on a cadence, so a leaderboard snapshot can lag a wallet's latest moves — the detail view always re-audits live when you open a wallet. None of this is a recommendation to copy anyone.

AlphaClone is non-custodial signals & analytics software — it does not manage capital and is not financial advice. See our Terms of Service.
